We have modified our cleaning and sanitizing procedures to do our part in stopping the spread of this virus. We ask that ALL persons who enter the building to please wear a mask, if you do not have one, one will be provided for you.
ABOUT
Miller Oil Company has been locally owned & operated by Mr. Miller since 1978. He is also an instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College in the automotive department. We've been a STAR certified TEST-only smog check station since January 1st, 2013. We pride ourselves on performing each inspection in accordance with the laws, regulations, & guidelines set forth by the State of California Bureau of Automotive Repair.
On that note- we administer the smog check inspection TEST. We are NOT allowed to perform repairs and adjustments, make any diagnosis or recommendations for where to go for repairs.
If you are unsure of your vehicles ability to PASS the inspection it might be a good idea to visit your mechanic BEFORE you come in.
Our team here at Miller Oil hope and would like each and every vehicle to pass the inspection, although we know that won't always be the case. From our own personal experiences, we know that failing the inspection or needing repairs is never fun, it is almost always stressful, and can be expensive. If you're concerned about your vehicle let us know before you come in (or stop in sometime if you'd like to ask anything) and we will do our best to share with you steps that you can take to prepare your vehicle to pass.

We are able to perform ANY* California DMV required smog inspection: STAR, Biennial, Change-of-Ownership, Out-of-State, Gross Polluter, Diesel, Hybrid, any length Motorhome or RV, Vehicle Retirement, etc.
*Exception: we do not smog 1990 and older Volkswagen Vans (Westfalia, T2, etc.)
*Exception: At this time we are unfortunately unable to smog 1980 & older vehicles.

$59.75 inspection fee for 1996 & newer gas vehicles*, as well as diesel vehicles. Add $8.25 for the certificate (if the vehicle passes). If a re-test is needed we give a $10.00 off discount within 90 days for 1996-1999 vehicles. Vehicles 2000 & newer- the retest fee will be $30.00 within 60 days (Must have original paperwork).**

STAR smog test, regular smog test, test only smog test, diesel smog test, hybrid smog test, DMV renewal smog test, out of state smog test- we do them all*!
At this time appointments are recommended. Each smog takes about 20-30 minutes, 1995 & older vehicles 30-40 minutes and to limit your wait time it is recommended to make an appointment in advance, we will still take drive-ins when time allows.
We have a chair inside available while you wait, a few chairs that can be placed outside, or feel free to take a stroll downtown, we can call or text when your smog test is finished.
Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 9a.m. to 5:30p.m. Also, we are now open Saturdays 9a.m. to 1p.m. (Keep in mind that 5:30p.m. (and 1p.m. on Saturdays) is when we close, so plan on coming in before 20-30 minutes before that to allow us time to perform the smog inspection.)
We are located at 7101 Wilton Ave., Sebastopol, CA 95472 right across the street from Rite Aid next to the Basso Building.
We have plenty of parking on site if you'd like to drop your vehicle off and go to: have breakfast/lunch, shop, run errands, see a movie, spend a couple hours at the Bliss Organic Day Spa next door, go for a swim at Ives Pool, etc. while we preform the smog inspection- just as long as you come back by 5:30p.m (or 1p.m. on Saturday). Or if you'd like to wait, we will do our best to make sure that you are not waiting long. Typical smog inspection times for 2000 and newer vehicles are 20-30 minutes (sometimes less), 1999-1996 vehicles about 30 minutes, and 1995 and older vehicles about 30-45 minutes.
If you'd like to drop off your vehicle before 9a.m. just give us a call the a day or two prior to that so we can get your name, phone number, year/make of vehicle, as well as instruct you on where to place your keys, etc.
